Raising

The Standard Of Holiness.

Our Beliefs...

GOD (G_D, out of reverence for him we never speak his name nor spell it out, we call him The Lord)

We believe there is only one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We believe each is a distinct Person, but all of one essence and all having the same nature, perfections and attributes, and each is worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence, and obedience (Genesis 1:26; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; I John 5:7)

JESUS the CHRIST

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus the Christ. We believe in his Virgin Birth, in his sinless HOLY life, in his miracles. We also believe in his death and atonement for us through his shed blood, in his resurrection, in his ascension to the throne of G_d where he is seated right at hand of the Father, and in his personal and literal second coming in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; I Corinthians 15:3; Hebrews 4:15)

THE HOLY GHOST.

We believe that the Holy Ghost is the third Person of the Trinity, very G_d, existent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Ghost is the chief agent in regeneration, active in creation, conviction, preservation, sanctification, and equipping the believer for a life of purity, power, and service. We believe in the empowerment of the Holy Ghost working in the life of the believer. We do NOT believe in calling the Holy Ghost the Holy Spirit for such is in our eyes a prideful thing to do boasting of ones own enlightenment bringing glory to themselves not the Lord, this is merely a matter of staying humble before the Lord for us. (Matthew 28:19; John 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14)

BIBLE HOLINESS

We believe in living a life dedicated to purity & holiness according to the scriptures. (Hebrews 12:14). We believe in men having short hair & women having long hair. We also believe in displaying purity in appearance. Established male saints are encouraged to wear long sleeve shirts & pants at all times. We strongly discourage short sleeves & shorts of any kind for males.  Established female saints are encouraged to wear dresses to the ankle as well as long sleeves. The greatest tool the enemy has is in our appearances. He will use it towards a distraction to the saints. While we believe these things to be true & good we also practice love towards those who are new to our church. The Lord looks on the heart & directs those who strive for holiness. We believe a holiness lifestyle isn't something you do because you're told to but because you want to do so for the Lord. (1 Corinthians 16:19-20; 1 Timothy 2:9; 1 Peter 3:3-4; Proverbs 31:30; 1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Peter 5:5-6). The Scriptures teach a life of Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. By the power of the Holy Ghost, we are able to obey the command, "Be ye Holy, for I am Holy." Entire sanctification is the will of The Lord for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to The Lord’s Word. (Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:15,16; I Thessalonians 5:23,24; I John 2:6)

PROMISE OF THE FATHER.

All believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of the Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it, or subsequent to it, comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowing of the Gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4; I Corinthians 12:1-31). This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Acts 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9)

EVIDENCE OF THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST.

The believer’s Baptism in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of G_d gives them utterance. (Acts 2:1-6)

SCRIPTURES ARE INSPIRED.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from G_d to men; the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason. (2 Timothy 3:15,16; I Peter 2:2)

SALVATION OF MANKIND.

The conditions of salvation--the Grace of G_d, which bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men through the preaching of repentance toward G_d and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ; Man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, and being justified by grace through faith, he becomes an heir of G_d according to the hope of eternal life. (Luke 24:47; Romans 10:9-15; Titus 2:11; I John 1:7-9).  The evidence of salvation--The inward evidence, to the believer of his salvation, is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16); the outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (Hebrews 12:14)

WATER BAPTISM.

The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed in Christ as Savior and Lord. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22)

DIVINE HEALING.

Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16,17)

THE RAPTURE or BLESSED HOPE.

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the blessed hope of the Church. (I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; I Corinthians 15:51-52; Revelation 11:15)

HELL

The devil and his angels, the Beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15; Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Matthew 15:35; 2 Peter 2:4; Luke 16:23)

THE NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH.

We, "according to His promise look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness." (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:22)
